The theme was 86 . . . → Read More: 86.86..86…]]> Blacklist skateshop in Greeley just hit their 3 year anniversary of being open here in Colorado so the owner Nate wanted to put together a first Friday show in honor of it. I was lucky enough to get to take part in it and began painting a 3 skateboard piece. The theme was 86 which goes in reference to the shops name and meaning. As the piece began coming together i was so happy with how the color was so offset by the grey scale portions. The unveiling was last night for First Friday at the Crvsh Room directly next door. It was an awesome piece to do and seeing everyone show up ended in perfect evening. Check it out the entire month of April at THE CRVSH ROOM @ 915 16th street Greeley Colorado!

So the other night I figured I would give it a shot and heres what I porduced. I wanted to do it almost opposite of how I usually paint. So with this piece I used only black, white and grey, didnt draw it out before hand, and did’nt use one drop of india ink. Biggest part tho is I painted a person, or I guess how I wanted to show one. So heres my first try, there will be plenty more attempts ahead so dont judge too hard!!

They have a relationship I think we . . . → Read More: Perfect Together]]> The most fascinating part of life is how we all intrepret it differently. How we see events, people and and all the beauty that lies deep with in it. I wanted to do a piece for my sister and brother in law that could show how I see them. They have a relationship I think we all strive to find and I am so happy for them. So heres how I see them through this painting. They have been swimming through life making memories and experiencing what came before them. Each shape represents those things and when they met those experiences, emotions and memories became one all leading them down the path to love. The bubbles are the same representing their breathe(life) becoming one. A piece they can hang in their house and always remember how lucky they are to have each other.

But I got a job so I have been trying to do more small pieces so I can keep putting as many out as possible. This is a repaint of a piece from years ago. Seemed to be a favorite with a lot of people and I have been wanting to go back to it for a while now.  Small piece but I am super happy with how it turned out!
